A number of universities, schools, centres and libraries took part in the fair, with a large turnout of students and visitors drawn to books and reading.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, Hanan Al-Dalu, coordinator of the Civil Peace project, stressed that the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution took part in this fair out of its belief in the need to strengthen and root culture and free thought among the different groups in society, and that book fairs are recurring cultural seasons that indicate awareness and a passion for reading.
