On Monday four grassroots organisations approved the strategic plans they had drawn up in cooperation with the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, within the series of activities of the project \"A protective environment for children against sexual exploitation\", which the Palestinian Center carries out in the northern governorates (Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm and Qalqilya) with funding from the European Union,
\nThe project \"A protective environment for children against sexual exploitation\", which the Centre has been carrying out since the beginning of 2014, works to develop and improve the protection of children's rights against sexual exploitation and the threat of it.
\nIn cooperation with these grassroots organisations (the Hableh Charitable Society in the town of Hableh in Qalqilya governorate, the Al-Sanabel Women's Cultural Centre in the village of Qusin in Nablus governorate, the Ritaj Centre for Women's Development in the village of Asira al-Qibliya in Nablus governorate, and the Yabad Women's Centre in the village of Yabad in Jenin governorate), the Palestinian Center drew up their strategic plans. These plans were the outcome of training the Centre delivered to the board members of these organisations, together with practical follow-up and guidance in drawing them up, in order to ensure that the protection of children's rights, particularly against sexual exploitation, is included in their long-term strategic objectives and that their work on it continues.
\nThe approval meeting was attended by the director of the Centre, Mr. Ahmed Abu Ayyash, the organisations' trainer on strategic plans, Mr. Amjad Al-Asmar, project coordinator Walaa Salahat, the board members of each organisation, and the project team.
\nAt the meeting, Mr. Ahmed Abu Ayyash, director of the Centre, explained the importance of these plans for grassroots organisations in the short and the long term, reviewed the project's figures and achievements for its first year, and praised the organisations and their excellent cooperation.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
