The meeting was opened by lawyer Younis Al-Tahrawi, head of the legal unit at the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, who welcomed those present and the meeting's two guests, Dr. Omar Nofal, president of the Gaza Sharia Court of Appeal, and Ms. Duaa Ammar of the Ministry of Women's Affairs. For his part, Dr. Nofal began his address by speaking about the legal reality that arose after the end of the war and assault on the Gaza Strip, reviewing its main effects, namely custody, visitation, guardianship and trusteeship over the minor children of martyrs.
