He pointed out that the Palestinian Center for Conflict Resolution is carrying out a series of educational meetings and initiatives that serve to strengthen understanding, combat violence and embody the language of dialogue as a way of resolving problems between people.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, the head of the central council of parents in the Gaza Strip, Zaher Al-Banna, stressed the need for parents within the family to play their part in strengthening their children's behaviour towards understanding and cooperation with others without violence, adding: \"What is required today of every father and mother is to plant a culture of civil peace in their children and to know how to open channels of dialogue with others without resorting to negative means such as beating and insults.\"<\/p>\n<p>For her part, the counsellor and preacher at the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Aida Al-Ghamri, said: \"Parents bear the trust of bringing up and socialising their children, and the mother's role is to correct her children's behaviour away from rancour and resentment in their dealings with people and towards forgiveness and tolerance.\" She explained that Palestinian society needs to reduce ideological and party mobilisation and to involve children in dialogue sessions that strengthen cohesion and solidarity in society, as she put it.<\/p>\n<p>The women taking part in the workshop called for carrying out community initiatives inside schools to combat violence and for holding women's activities raising the banners of tolerance and acceptance of others inside service organisations in Al-Bureij camp, in coordination with the Coalition of Civil Forces at the Palestinian Center for Conflict
