\nThe Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution received a student delegation of women students from the sociology department at An-Najah National University. The visit comes within the framework of joint coordination and communication between the Centre and the universities.<\/p>\n
At the start of the meeting, the specialist from the project \"Towards a society free of violence\", Wurud Yassin, welcomed the university students and spoke about the main projects and events the Centre carries out in the country's governorates. She added: \"We value these visits, which help introduce the main psychological, social and legal services we provide to a number of groups in society, among them women subjected to violence.\"<\/p>\n
The specialist Yassin answered all the questions raised by the students about how to deal with the target groups and the forms of violence used against women subjected to violence within the local community, in addition to reviewing the main rates and statistics of the Centre's projects. She set out the mechanisms of communication and networking between the Centre and civil society organisations, alongside continuous coordination with official institutions to ensure progress towards a safe environment for women and the other groups in society.<\/p>\n
During the visit, a set of radio and television programmes on the events of the project \"Towards a society free of violence\" over previous years were shown and a number of the Centre's brochures distributed, in addition to touring the Centre's departments and facilities to learn more closely about the field and practical activities that put the Centre's policies into effect.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution has a number of offices and branches in the Gaza governorates and a number of West Bank governorates, and receives each week a number of student delegations from schools and universities, in addition to delegations from official and non-governmental organisations and associations.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
