\nThe Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, within the project \"Towards a society free of violence\" and in cooperation with the Civic Committee Association in Nablus governorate, held an awareness meeting through the Conflict Resolution Center's counselling points programme for 15 women from the residents of the old town in Nablus governorate.<\/p>\n
At the start of the meeting, the director of the Civic Committee Association, Eng. Nasir Arafat, welcomed the Conflict Resolution Center's team and stressed the need to hold more activities for women in the coming period. He explained that empowering the family is one of his association's working priorities, in addition to the important role played by the organisations specialising in women's issues in helping create generations that strengthen the family's role and standing.<\/p>\n
For her part, the Conflict Resolution Center's specialist Wurud Yassin spoke about the Centre's main activities and services, among them psychological, social and legal support, as well as the subject of psychological pressures, which is one of the main needs of the women's groups the project works with. She pointed out that a number of social, psychological and family subjects will be addressed in the coming meetings in order to make women aware of and educate them about a number of psychological and community issues.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the project \"Towards a society free of violence\" is carried out by the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution with funding from the Norwegian People's Aid programme (NPA) in the governorates of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, for a wide group of women victims of violence, with the aim of empowering them socially and reintegrating them into society.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
