\nYesterday the Coalition of Civil Forces for Civil Peace at the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution began a training course entitled \"Strengthening the capacities of the members of the Coalition of Civil Forces for Civil Peace\", comprising 25 training hours, held in the training hall at the Centre's main premises in Gaza City.<\/p>\n
In this context, the coalition's coordinator, Hanan Al-Dalu, stressed that training the coalition's members aims to strengthen the concepts of civil peace in achieving community reconciliation and to increase public awareness of mobilisation and advocacy issues within the local community. She added: \"We were keen to choose a group of trainers specialising in civil peace, managing initiatives and mobilisation and advocacy skills, in addition to how to manage media campaigns in organisations and civil society groups in Palestinian society.\"<\/p>\n
Al-Dalu said that training the coalition's members comes within the framework of carrying out a range of activities and programmes belonging to the coalition, among them coordinating with reconciliation figures, young people and women leaders in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in order to narrow the gap between parties and organisations. She explained that the coalition will focus its efforts with the other civil society organisations and groups on working to achieve national unity and to end the state of division that has continued for several years between the Palestinian factions.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution seeks, within its strategy, to achieve community reconciliation between the components of the local community and within its vision of deepening the foundations of dialogue and understanding in Palestine.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
