\nThe Justice for All project at the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution has begun a training course entitled \"Strengthening the legal capacities of the Centre's lawyers\", with the participation of twenty male and female lawyers from the Centre's legal staff. The training is being held in the training hall at the Centre's main premises in Gaza City.<\/p>\n
At the opening of the training course, the coordinator of the Justice for All project, lawyer Younis Al-Tahrawi, stressed that this training comes in the context of the project's strategic plan of increasing legal education for a number of groups in the local community and for individuals within local organisations and associations. He added: \"Today we begin this training for the Centre's staff of lawyers in order to improve and develop their performance in handling cases and legal procedures in the courts and with citizens.\"<\/p>\n
Lawyer Al-Tahrawi went on to say: \"This training will continue for two months, comprising 48 training hours, with the participation of members of the Centre's legal unit from all the Gaza governorates.\" He pointed out that the training will cover a range of subjects, the main ones being sharia court procedure, company law and commercial papers, the law of civil and commercial procedure, land law, as well as tribal adjudication, evaluation and building indicators.<\/p>\n
The coordinator of the Justice for All project called on all the lawyers taking part in the training course to make practical and applied use of the subjects and expertise they will receive from the experienced trainers who will work with the participants throughout the training period. He explained that the coming period will see more meetings and workshops held for the benefit of community organisations and associations in order to strengthen citizens' knowledge of their rights and duties and to ensure that justice is achieved and the principles of law are reached.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
