He added: \"The Palestinian police face greater challenges than any police service in the world, and among the most prominent of these challenges are the occupation's assaults and the challenge of working to improve the image of the police service before the public.\"<\/span><\/div>\n<div>Al-Muqadama said: \"Police officers bear the burden of balancing citizens' rights and respect for them with preserving the standing of the police, since it represents the standing of any state, in addition to the responsibility of ending the culture of violence and of people taking the law into their own hands.\" He praised the joint efforts with the Ministry of Interior aimed at raising the performance of the police service to ensure service to the Palestinian citizen.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Colonel Mahmoud Salah, director of the General Directorate of Training at the Ministry of Interior and National Security, pointed out that his directorate works to refine the skills of all members of the security services in the Gaza governorates by giving them a set of training courses and workshops. He expressed his gratitude for the joint cooperation with the Conflict Resolution Center and called for more work and communication in the framework of serving the local community.<\/p><\/div>\n<div>For his part, Ibrahim Abu Shamala, deputy director of the programme for supporting the rule of law and access to justice, explained that training those charged with law enforcement is not a matter of intellectual luxury but is the first link of communication between the citizen and the justice apparatus represented by the Palestinian police. He stressed that training police officers supports the stability of legal work in the police service and is a basic guarantee for the state of law, which rests on guaranteeing public freedoms and human dignity.<br \/>\nAt the end of the ceremony, the training course certificates were distributed to the participants, who numbered seventy-five security officers, and certificates of appreciation were presented to the trainers who contributed to the success of the training course.<br \/>\nIn an address on behalf of the graduates, Lieutenant Colonel Moataz Al-Khalidi valued the continuous efforts of the police service to raise the standing of the security officer's profession and to learn new concepts in dealing with citizens within society.
