A delegation from the child protection teams project at the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution visited the Abdel Aziz Al-Rantisi children's hospital in Gaza City with the participation of 15 girls, within the emergency visits of the child protection teams project funded by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), to ease the burden on the children given their psychological and health circumstances and to bring the smile back to their lips.<\/p>\n
Ola Al-Far, coordinator of the child protection teams project in Gaza governorate, noted that this initiative comes to provide psychological support to children and to take part in social activities within the local community. She added: \"We are carrying out this activity in coordination with the Majd Bila Hudoud Association and the Green Plains Association, to help ease the burden on children with cancer and thalassaemia, on the occasion of the approach of Eid al-Adha.\"<\/p>\n
She explained that the participants from the child protection teams project, with the help of a number of the sick children, planted a set of seedlings in the hospital garden to increase the green spaces for the children and the hospital's visitors. She stressed that the children expressed their happiness at the gifts and recreational toys, which numbered 45 gifts presented to them by the participants in the child protection teams project.<\/p>\n
It is noted that the child protection teams project concluded the childhood football tournament last week, which was crowned by the victory of the Fursan Al-Ghad youth association team, who took the tournament cup at the Shabab Jabalia club ground in the north of the Gaza Strip.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
