Seventy people took part in the olive picking, most of them children, in the presence of a group of foreign solidarity activists.<\/p>\n<p>Rabie Hamouda, coordinator of the child protection teams project in the North governorate, noted that the children's participation came to affirm the right of the Palestinian people to remain steadfast on their land and to express the great joy at the success of the Palestinian resistance in freeing a large number of our prisoners from the occupation's jails.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to say: \"Olive picking symbolises peace and stability, and it is a clear message from the children of Palestine to the world that the Palestinian child has the right to live in safety and dignity like the rest of the world's children.\"<\/p>\n<p>Hamouda explained that this initiative comes in coordination with the Fursan Al-Ghad Association and the Savings and Credit Association to help farmers pick the olive trees in the border areas.
