Malak is a girl in the fourth grade who likes to play with boys and prefers to live like them in everything, so she speaks and dresses like them. After a visit to her family, her mother said that Malak likes to play in the street barefoot and prefers to play football with her cousin. She also used to attend the young men's gatherings held in the street. Her mother added that she, the girl's father and her siblings had tried to change her behaviour but that she did not respond to their advice, and that her father used to hit her so that she would change her behaviour, but she refused. During the counsellor's meetings with Malak, she asked her in conversation: do you have sisters younger than you, Malak? She answered no. She asked her: and do you not have cousins of the same age? She said: yes I do, but I do not like playing with them. The counsellor tried to help the girl through some psychological sessions, in addition to including her with her female peers in the project. Malak began to move positively little by little: sometimes she would play with her female peers and at other times she would play with the boys. But this small change is considered a step towards a greater change. The support and follow-up circles for Malak continued. The counsellor also asked her to wear girls' clothes and to join in group work with the girls in order to readjust her and accustom her to playing with them.
