This word is often repeated from the mouths of mothers and fathers to rebuke their children for something they are doing, without explaining to them how serious that behaviour is. This is what the coordinators of the project \"Protecting children from sexual exploitation and harassment\" found when they met parents in educational sessions in the three governorates. Some fathers and mothers held back at first from speaking about the subject of sexual harassment of children, and as soon as they were made aware of the importance and seriousness of the matter, since they are the first environment that influences children, the parents began to take part and engage with the coordinators. The parents learned about the project's importance and its activities and the aims it seeks, from making parents aware of the importance of their role in protecting their children from sexual exploitation to not concealing these problems behind the word \"shame\", given the negative effect this has on children's psychological and social health. The parents realised that their role lies in making their children aware and guiding them, in addition to following up and watching over them. At the end of each meeting, those present offered a set of recommendations to the Centre: the parents called for engaging with schools to hold educational sessions for pupils, teachers and psychological counsellors, in addition to organising home visits to parents, particularly in remote places such as the Atatra neighbourhood and the Fadous housing area, to acquaint them with the subject. The parents also called for making newly married mothers and fathers aware, since they are the future for their children. It is noted that these sessions began on the second of January 2011 and continued until 27\/1\/2011.
