These workshops came in cooperation with a number of women's organisations in the areas of Dura, Bani Naim, Yatta, Al-Fahs, Al-Shuyoukh, Beit Kahil and Surif. A large number of women attended the meetings, and during the meetings they were acquainted with the Centre's free services, particularly the free line, the psychological counselling service and the legal services. The meetings covered a number of subjects, among them women's rights and violence against them, women and the law, women and discrimination against them, and also psychological release exercises.<br \/>\nNour Jaber, the project coordinator, noted that the aim of these meetings is to reach an awareness among Palestinian women of all their rights and duties, to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and all forms of violence practised against them, and to stress the importance of respecting women's rights in the family and in society and of creating a society free of violence against women.
