Within the project \"A protective environment for children against harassment and sexual exploitation\", the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution held training sessions to prepare the project's staff of educators and activity leaders from 16\/3 to 28\/3, on the skills of a successful trainer and activity leader, communication skills, and how to use new means and techniques in educating and leading activities, in both Gaza and Khan Younis.
\nEng. Najat, the project coordinator, reviewed the tasks and responsibilities of the activity leaders and educators through a presentation explaining their working relationship with the other parties involved, such as the project coordinator, the psychological counsellor, the lawyer, the case management committee and the participating associations, as well as how to communicate and deal with parents and children.
\nThe project's lawyer, Ms. Rana Al-Madhoun, addressed the fourth session in the manual, which deals with the legal view, in order to enrich the legal side for the educators and activity leaders. She also reviewed some of the ways of conveying legal information correctly to the target groups and how to help parents and make them aware of the importance of legal follow-up if their children are subjected to sexual exploitation.
\nAt the end of the meeting the project team distributed the manuals for educators and activity leaders and the forms containing a set of guidelines to help them in dealing with children and parents<\/p>\n
