\nThe project for protecting children from sexual exploitation at the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution brought a smile to the faces of dozens of children in Khan Younis governorate, in coordination with the Al-Sahel Association in Rafah governorate in the south of the Gaza Strip, within the project's events and with funding from the European Union.<\/p>\n
In this context, the coordinator of the project for protecting children from exploitation in Khan Younis governorate, Raed Abu Saada, stressed that this event comes to ease children's suffering from daily pressures, including the approaching preparations for final examinations at school. He explained that the children taking part in the event are cases receiving individual counselling within the project, in order to reduce tension and repression and to provide them with psychological and social help.<\/p>\n
Abu Saada said the recreational day included many enjoyable and engaging items, among them a cultural and sporting competition, in addition to displaying the children's talents and abilities and distributing gifts to them in the presence of their families, amid an atmosphere of engagement, competition and a sense of joy and happiness.<\/p>\n
At the end of the recreational day, the children and their families expressed their wish for more educational and recreational meetings to be held in the coming period and for work to strengthen family relationships between Palestinian families.<\/p>\n
