The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution held the periodic meeting of the project for protecting children from sexual harassment, with the full attendance of everyone working on the project, coordinators and activity leaders alike, on the fifth of this month at the Centre's premises in Gaza.
\nThe accountant Laila Al-Daour began by welcoming those present, and then moved on to the main subject of the meeting, which was a discussion of the instructions relating to financial documents and how to observe them so as to avoid falling into error.
\nThe activity leaders and educators signed an undertaking relating to their administrative and financial responsibilities.
\nFor their part, the area coordinators, Iman Abu Saeed, coordinator for the North, and Raed Abu Saada, coordinator for the South, began by speaking about the latest achievements and developments in the progress of the project's activities, and listened to the observations of the educators and activity leaders in this regard. The educator Haneen Al-Judaili explained that many parents are apprehensive about dealing with the psychological and social specialist for children who are victims of harassment, and she called for visits to be made by both the project's specialist and its lawyer to explain the importance of the roles they carry out during the project.<\/p>\n
At the end of the meeting, the project coordinators gave their observations on the field supervision visits to the educators and activity leaders during the sessions, the most important of them being to draw on the figures from the study carried out by the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution on the reality of sexual assault against children in the Gaza governorates, to support what they say to parents, and without exaggerating when presenting the project.<\/p>\n
