The management of the Conflict Resolution Center discusses the horizons of its work and the new strategic plan

As part of preparing the new strategic plan, the management of the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, Nablus branch, is completing its discussion of the horizons of the Centre's work and its new strategic plan, the main projects and services the Palestinian Center provides in both parts of the homeland (Gaza and the West Bank), and the main challenges and obstacles and how to overcome them.
Present were the chair of the board, Dr. Nahed Eid, board member Izza Al-Sumeiri, Ahmed Abu Ayyash, director of the Nablus branch, and the staff team.
For his part, Abu Ayyash said this meeting comes as part of strengthening, increasing the effectiveness of and developing the Palestinian Center through continuous communication between the Centre's executive teams and the board, and he stressed the need to activate and sustain this communication.
For his part, Dr. Nahed Eid expressed his pleasure at this visit, which will be the beginning of many future visits to strengthen communication between the branches and offices of the Palestinian Center spread across the country's governorates.
He added that the Centre provides distinctive programmes and services to the local community, particularly the services relating to the family meeting point and free representation in the courts. He also praised the role of the teams working throughout the country and the great part they play in providing a distinctive and genuine service to citizens of every group.
Eid stressed that there is a draft strategic plan in whose preparation all the Palestinian Center's teams at every branch are taking part, which in turn strengthens and develops the Palestinian Center's services and supports its vision and mission and the continuity of communication between all the branches in order to provide a distinctive service to our Palestinian people.
He set out the main services and partnerships the Palestinian Center maintains, whether at the level of grassroots organisations or of governmental and international organisations, noting that there is a genuine partnership with civil society organisations in exchanging expertise, spreading community awareness and spreading a spirit of tolerance and reconciliation and of accepting differing views.
At the end of the meeting those present set out the main challenges and obstacles that posed a clear difficulty during the delivery of activities and programmes and the ways of overcoming them, and also presented some of the success stories that occurred in the course of providing services, which reflect the nature of the relationship between the Centre's teams and the target groups.
