Launch of the website of the project to combat violence against women

Today those running the project to combat violence against women launched the website, which will act as a media observatory for researchers, students and those interested in combating violence against women, and for looking closely at the scale of the danger arising from that violence practised against women.
The website aims at mobilising and forming a public opinion in society opposed to violence and supportive of women's causes.
For his part, Ahmed called on all organisations to provide the website with all the materials, studies and research, in addition to the information and data available to them, to be presented on the website for everyone's benefit, instead of remaining locked away in drawers.
Ahmed noted that the website covers a set of different strands, among them testimonies and living stories, figures and statistics, a media observatory, an electronic library, the campaign's events, in addition to a set of reports and investigations on violence against women.
