The Palestinian Center for Conflict Resolution holds a meeting with civil society organisations to monitor violations

This morning the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution held a meeting with civil society organisations at the Centre's premises in Gaza, attended by 25 organisations, within the events of the project "Children monitoring and reporting groups"

Mr. Iyad Abu Hjair, deputy director general of the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, said this comes in view of the growing scale of violations against Palestinian children, whether because of the practices of the Israeli occupation or of various practices within society, and the negative effects that follow from them, together with the weakness of accurate monitoring and documentation of these violations.
Abu Hjair pointed out that the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution is in the process of forming a coalition of Palestinian civil society organisations to monitor children's rights and to observe and document violations, in order to arrive at ways of genuinely addressing these violations and to put them before officials, public opinion and civil society organisations.
