The Centre holds a workshop entitled "The engagement period, between success and failure"

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, in cooperation with the Shiryan Al-Amal Association, held a workshop on "The engagement period, between success and failure", within the project for supporting and empowering women victims of violence. Around 35 male and female students from various universities in Gaza City took part in the workshop. The workshop addressed many subjects, the most important of them being the engagement period, beginning with the sound choice of a life partner and the foundations and criteria on which a partner is chosen. This workshop aims at preventing family violence and limiting the phenomenon of divorce. This workshop comes as a continuation of the events the Centre carries out within the project for supporting and empowering women victims of violence, which aim at developing and supporting women and giving them skills that prepare them for a better married life. At the end of the workshop there were several discussions and interventions, in addition to some proposals from the male and female participants, the most important of them being: holding more of such workshops with the aim of making the Palestinian family aware and limiting manifestations of violence.
