The Centre holds a workshop in Rafah within the project "Supporting and empowering women victims of violence"

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution held a workshop dedicated to men at the Builders of the Future Association in the village of Khirbet Al-Adas in Rafah governorate, within the project "Supporting and empowering women victims of violence". The workshop was attended by 20 men of various age groups and from various sections of society, and was run by the social counsellor Samir Al-Muqadama. The workshop addressed various strands, among them violence against women, its types, causes and forms, the position of men under the personal status law, and the position of women under the personal status law. At the end of the workshop there was talk and discussion about the causes of violence and the means of protection from it, and the participants also stressed the need to continue holding such workshops, to intensify awareness campaigns for men and women, and to hold regular meetings to spread awareness and limit the phenomenon of violence.
