Conflict Resolution holds a course on preparing an emergency plan in times of crisis in the Gaza governorates

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution held a training course on preparing an emergency plan in times of crisis in the Gaza governorates, in coordination with a group of partner associations in all the governorates and with 60 male and female participants divided into two groups. The training was held in the training hall at the Centre's main premises in Gaza City and in Khan Younis.

This training comes within the child protection teams project, in partnership with UNICEF.

On the importance of this training, the director of the Gaza branch of the Conflict Resolution Center, Eng. Iyad Abu Hjair, pointed out that the training course is being held amid difficult circumstances facing the Gaza Strip, the latest of them the storm that displaced close to 6,000 families. He stressed that the partner associations will contribute to emergency response and psychological intervention in all the governorates in the service of children and their families.

For his part, the trainer Raed Abu Saada, a coordinator on the child protection teams project in Khan Younis governorate, reviewed the main methods organisations use in providing emergency visits and psychological support services to children in the Gaza governorates, explaining that the coming period will see an improvement in the form of the psychological, social and institutional services provided to those affected by crises and disasters.
