A bewildered girl
Nablus / Nisreen Zalmout. S. is a girl aged 16 years, a pupil in the tenth grade, living in a family made up of the parents, the elder sister who is married to a young man addicted to alcohol and lives with marital disputes, and three brothers and S.
The family lives in a house made up of three bedrooms and its facilities. The economic situation is middling, where the father works in trade and the mother in sewing, the eldest son is studying abroad and the brothers work in particular crafts.
S. lives in a broken family, where the father is addicted to alcohol and takes no interest in the affairs of his house, his wife and his family, and the family suffers violence from him, where he breaks things and beats his wife without being aware of his acts.
S.'s mother came to the Centre on the grounds that her daughter had a relationship with a young man living next door to them, and she was afraid this relationship might develop into more than a friendship and suspected that her daughter was in a sexual relationship with this neighbour, particularly as S. was going through a difficult stage of adolescence. The mother had noticed her falling behind in her studies, her absent-mindedness and her continuous anxiety.
And after investigating and examining the matter, it became clear to us that S. had been assaulted by her elder brother when she was 7 years old and he was 12, and the assault continued until this brother decided to travel abroad to complete his studies. And then he did nothing but call his younger brother and teach him how to carry out the assault so that he might follow the same conduct??
And the assault continued until the day S. went to one of the centres, bearing in mind that she tried several times to cry out and to seek the help of her mother and her grandmother in her childhood (my brothers pull up my clothes, they touch me), but?
S. tried to flee the house several times and also to take her own life, but each time she failed, and when she became 16 years old she reached a very difficult stage and rejected the family, the brothers and her studies.
So who is responsible for what happened to this child?????
