The child protection teams visit a released woman prisoner and organise a recreational trip for the children of the Atatra area

A delegation of children from the child protection teams project at the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution visited the home of the prisoner Wafa Al-Biss in the north of the Gaza Strip after her release within the prisoner exchange deal with the Israeli occupation.
The children welcomed the released prisoner's return to her home and family and presented her with wreaths of flowers and gifts, wishing her lasting health and success and the continuation of her help for our Palestinian people in obtaining all their rights as enshrined in international law.
For her part, the prisoner Al-Biss valued the blessed visit by the children of the Conflict Resolution Center and encouraged them to speak about their rights and duties within society. She called on the children to take part in the popular activities and events to congratulate the prisoners on their return to their families and relatives.
In a related context, the child protection project organised a recreational trip for more than 50 boys and girls from the Atatra area in the Beit Lahia project to the Bisan garden in the north of the Gaza Strip, to see the various animals and to play and enjoy themselves.
Rabie Hamouda, coordinator of the child protection teams project in the North governorate, confirmed that this trip comes as a joint effort with the Wafaa Development Association for the children of the Atatra area, whose homes were destroyed in the last Israeli war on the Gaza Strip in December 2008. He added: "These children lost their fathers and members of their families as martyrs during the war, and this is an opportunity to entertain them and take them out of psychological and social pressure."
It is noted that the child protection teams project organised a large olive-picking event last week in the north of the Gaza Strip to express the children's joy at the release of the Palestinian prisoners from the occupation's jails.
