Conflict Resolution Center concludes the events of a training course for adolescents

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution concluded the events of a training course for adolescents with a celebration held at the Khuzaa Martyrs' Secondary School for Boys, attended by the school's principal, Save the Children, a number of civil society organisations, members of the local committee in Al-Qarara and Khuzaa, a representative of the municipality and park of Khuzaa, and a number of parents and public figures in the area. The celebration was opened by Raed Abu Saada, the project coordinator, who welcomed the guests and participants and spoke about the project's importance for the pupils in terms of their level of academic attainment and the level of developing their skills, capacities and talents. Abu Saada also praised everyone who contributed to accomplishing this work, foremost among them the Italian trainer Donatella, the project coordinator at Save the Children, Sara Valerio, and the activity leaders, teachers and pupils taking part in the training. During the celebration an LCD screening was given of a film shot by the pupils in which they demand their basic rights, in addition to an exhibition of the artworks and the games the female pupils produced during the training and directed at children to make them aware of their rights and basic needs. At the end of the celebration the participants called for this film to be shown in every area of the Gaza Strip and for it to be treated as a campaign to advocate children's rights.
