Conflict Resolution Center celebrates the graduation of a course for those working in the field of social reconciliation

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, within the project for providing legal information and counselling, celebrated the graduation of the participants in the training course "Developing the capacities of those working in the field of social reconciliation", in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council and with funding from the European Union.

At the start of the celebration, the projects coordinator at the Conflict Resolution Center, Abdel Moneim Al-Tahrawi, welcomed those present and valued the importance of the continuing cooperation between reconciliation figures and women community activists and the Conflict Resolution Center, and the role they play in the process of social reconciliation and in settling family disputes.

For his part, the deputy director general of the Conflict Resolution Center, Iyad Abu Hjair, said: "This training shows that a woman's role complements a man's and takes nothing away from it, as some claim," stressing that women had a major role in reconciliation in Islam and that history is full of examples of this.

For their part, the participants in the course valued the efforts made by the Conflict Resolution Center through the training they received, which helped them gain enough experience to deal with social cases and problems and to resolve them.
In closing, the participants in the training received certificates of appreciation for their engagement and commitment during the course, and called for intensifying training and educational meetings on dealing with women's issues in the future.
