Conflict Resolution Center completes a 120-hour training for Al-Quds Open University students in Nablus

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution completed the training of a group of students from Al-Quds Open University, Nablus educational region, specialising in social work, at the Centre's premises in Nablus governorate, comprising 120 hours of practical training within the framework of joint cooperation between the Centre and the university's management.

On the conclusion of the training, the Centre's psychologist Wurud Yassin explained that the training addressed a number of important subjects, among them how to be a psychological counsellor, becoming familiar with the principles of counselling interviews, how to deal with individual cases and the importance of the family meeting point. She added: "We focused on training them in how to handle case referrals and on the theories and techniques of psychological counselling used with the beneficiaries of the Centre's programmes, in addition to involving the trainee students in the Centre's activities and events to give them additional skills."
It is worth noting that the Conflict Resolution Center carries out a range of programmes and projects in several of the country's governorates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, with the aim of providing psychological, social and legal services to a number of groups in need and marginalised groups, in order to reach a safe environment for the members of the local community.
