The project "Towards a society free of violence against women" organises a workshop on the rights of women and children in Gaza

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, within the project "Towards a society free of violence against women", organised a workshop on the rights of women and children for a number of parents at Gaza New School (C) in Gaza City.
At the start of the meeting, the project's lawyer Mohammed Abu Salem spoke about the rights of the Palestinian child and their definition under Palestinian law no. 7 of 2004 and the mechanisms for applying it within society. He added: "We address the main means of legal protection this law imposes and how to provide genuine protection for children and to ensure safety and security for everyone."
In a separate context, Abu Salem set out for the parents the main rights the law guarantees to women and the forms of dialogue and communication between spouses to ensure a safe and cohesive environment for every Palestinian family. He explained that the coming period will see more meetings and trainings with the public with the aim of developing and strengthening citizens' legal capacities in the various governorates.
It is worth noting that the project "Towards a society free of violence against women" aims to reach and coordinate with a number of women in the Gaza and West Bank governorates in order to provide legal, psychological and social counselling and to ensure their inclusion and the activation of their role in society.
