A student delegation from Al-Quds Open University visits the Conflict Resolution Center's premises in Nablus

A student delegation from Al-Quds Open University in Nablus governorate visited the premises of the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, within the framework of the Centre's strategy of receiving and engaging with groups in the local community, particularly university and school students.

In this framework, the specialist at the Conflict Resolution Center, Wurud Yassin, stressed that the Centre is keen to carry out its programmes and projects in support of the local community in several of the country's governorates. She added: "Today we present a range of examples of the psychological and legal services the Centre provides to society, as well as the main mechanisms of communication and networking with local organisations and associations with the aim of increasing community awareness and education."

Yassin explained that the student delegation from Al-Quds Open University learned about the latest activities and events the Centre has carried out in Nablus governorate, and was given all the information and data they need for their research and university studies. She pointed out that the visit comes within the students' field training at the university and as part of supporting them by providing all the statistics and studies on the matters addressed for groups in society at the Conflict Resolution Center.

During the visit, the delegation was shown the Conflict Resolution Center's departments and the family meeting point rooms, in addition to the distribution of a set of brochures covering the Centre's activities and events. The students taking part in the visit valued the role played by the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution in developing and raising the awareness of the members of Palestinian society about the issues and problems of everyday life and the ways of addressing and preventing them.
