The Centre holds an open day for juvenile children

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution held an open day for the inmates of the Al-Rabee institution for the care of juveniles (the reform facility), within the activities of the juvenile justice project funded by Terre des hommes Switzerland (TDH), at the Al-Rabee tourist resort. The day was attended by all the institution's inmates, 42 juveniles, in addition to the director general of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Mr. Awni Abu Herbid, the director of the Al-Rabee institution, Mr. Moataz Dughmush, the institution's staff and probation officers across Gaza governorate. Attending for the Centre were Mr. Iyad Abu Hjair, director of the Gaza branch, Abdel Moneim Al-Tahrawi, director of activities and projects, lawyer Ahmed Al-Masri, the project coordinator, and the head of the Centre's legal unit, lawyer Younis Al-Tahrawi, and for Terre des hommes Switzerland, Dr. Khitam Hamad, director of TDH in Gaza, and Ms. Rawand Hajjaj, the organisation's project coordinator.

The day included a communal iftar for the juveniles and the guests and many recreational and cultural activities and a clown item, in addition to the distribution of gifts in kind to the juveniles. The juveniles expressed their great happiness at this open day, which brought a smile to their lips, and asked for such activities to be repeated.
