Description : Palestinian society has suffered greatly through the long years it has lived under occupation, during which it has been subjected to displacement and uprooting from its land, killing, injury, disability, detention, land confiscation, house demolition, the burning and uprooting of crops and trees, closures, humiliation and torture, the loss of livelihoods, a rise in unemployment, and a rise in the proportion of families living below the poverty line.
