The youth initiative to develop the town of Beit Hanoun launches a wide solidarity campaign

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution launched a campaign in solidarity with the people of Beit Hanoun, particularly amid the circumstances of the Israeli incursion into the town. The campaign included launching a wide donation drive for the Ambu bag device (for artificial respiration) to equip the ambulances and the medical teams working in the field, which suffer a severe shortage of this device, considered important in rescuing and treating those injured by suffocation. The initiative's team, in cooperation with Sawt Al-Shabab radio, broadcast a message to all doctors and citizens who own this device to donate it so as to enable the medical teams to carry out their humanitarian tasks. A large number of citizens and doctors responded to this call, and these devices were distributed to many medical centres in the north of the Gaza Strip. The initiative's team also held an advanced first aid officers' course in cooperation and partnership with the Palestine Red Crescent Society, and this team was equipped with the appropriate means to carry out their humanitarian work in providing medical services to citizens during crises. It is worth noting that the Centre and the youth initiative to develop the town of Beit Hanoun distributed first aid kits to the volunteers and to the trained first aid officers belonging to the initiative and to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. It is also worth noting that the Centre and the initiative's team bought and distributed some medical equipment and provided it urgently and quickly to some medical centres to facilitate their humanitarian work in saving the lives of citizens and children.
