Conflict Resolution Center begins handing over sewing machines in Hebron

Hebron: the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution in the city of Hebron has begun handing over sewing machines to beneficiaries within the project "Supporting and empowering women victims of violence", funded by the Norwegian People's Aid office (NPA). Mr. Saad Shalalda, director of the Hebron branch, stated that two sewing machines have been handed over to beneficiaries of this project, stressing the importance of this step in generating a modest income for these women through the sewing machines and linking them to the local market. Nour Jaber, the project coordinator, also confirmed that these beneficiary cases are among the most needy cases, and stated that this experience will not be the last during this project, since psychological, social and material support will be provided to the beneficiaries and to the victims of family violence through this project's activities and programmes.
