Distributing medical services to children

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, in partnership with Save the Children and with funding from the European Union, distributed medical services during May to children under the age of 18 who suffer from hearing, speech, mobility and sight problems. This comes within the events of the project for protecting Palestinian children from armed conflict through community-based mechanisms in the Gaza Strip. Coordination took place with the Ministry of Education to provide these services according to the child's need and in cooperation with school principals and counsellors, and these services were also distributed through the partner associations. A total of 54 hearing aids, 41 speech sessions, 50 pairs of prescription glasses and 23 pairs of orthopaedic shoes were provided to around 173 boys and girls in need in the Gaza Strip who were reached during the project period.
