The Centre organises a series of open days for children in the north of the Strip

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution yesterday evening organised an open day in the north Gaza Strip governorate, in the Atatra area, within the child protection teams project, which the Centre carries out in partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Around 400 children and their families took part in the festivals' events. These celebrations aimed at bringing joy to the children and making them happy, and also at providing psychological support to bring them out of the cycle of violence and pressure they are living in given the deterioration of life and the loss of security and safety. Mr. Rabie Hamouda, coordinator for the north Strip governorate, stated that this day comes within a series of open days the Centre organises, and that these celebrations have been held in various places in the north of the Gaza Strip and have included many recreational items with the participation of the activity leaders and the work team, with the aim of easing the children's suffering and strengthening them to receive a new school term.
