Conflict Resolution concludes a course on the mechanisms of intervention to resolve conflict

Today, Tuesday, the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution concluded a training course on "The mechanisms of intervention to resolve conflict", within the framework of the project for empowering and strengthening women victims of violence funded by Norwegian People's Aid NPA.
The course, which continued for 6 days amounting to 30 training hours, was attended by 20 male and female participants who are graduates in psychology, psychological counselling and social work.
The course aimed at preparing a qualified social and psychological intervention team, able to analyse the various social problems in a professional and scientific way and contributing to solving the problems women suffer from, particularly given the rising pace of violence against women, by providing the participants with sufficient information and training on the mechanisms and skills of listening to problems, analysing them scientifically, and then determining the mechanisms of intervention.
The course, at which the trainer Mohammed Abu Al-Kheir trained, included several strands, the most important of them a detailed explanation of the forms and causes of violence, the frameworks for resolving conflict, the mechanisms and criteria for diagnosing abused cases, the mechanisms of intervention, and the skills of managing sessions.
The male and female participants praised the training course for the important information it included, which contributed to increasing their capacity to understand social problems, expressing their hope that there will be more in order to develop other skills the intervening worker needs, such as legal and social awareness in its various forms.
For his part, Abdel Moneim Al-Tahrawi, the project coordinator, thanked the graduates and the trainer, and also expressed his thanks to the office of Norwegian People's Aid NPA for its support and funding of the project and the training course.
