The Palestinian Center holds a series of workshops for abused women in Khan Younis governorate

The Palestinian Center completed a series of workshops for abused women in the governorates of Khan Younis and Rafah, where during the current week, in coordination with the Al-Mawasi Residents Charitable Association and the Sabaya Centre in Mawasi Rafah, the Centre organised workshops each of which continued for three consecutive days and targeted more than 60 women. Many women's criminal issues connected with family and community violence and the most important mechanisms for being rid of it and confronting it were discussed on the one hand, and on the other hand the women took part during the workshop, with the help of the educators, in many activities that contribute to helping them to unburden themselves emotionally and to try to come out of the strained psychological atmosphere, particularly after the war.
It is worth noting again that the Centre began this series of workshops through a new vision for the activities of the project for supporting and empowering abused women funded by the office of Norwegian People's Aid, where these workshops were designed to take into account the psychological and social results of the war, by devoting three meetings to the women, distributed between legal and social educational meetings and another for psychosocial support for the women. The idea met with acceptance from the women and the participants through the workshops held in the governorates of Gaza.
It is worth noting again that the Centre is about to carry out more than 40 workshops for women and men in the governorates of Gaza during the coming stages of the project.
