Invitation to take part in a tender for construction works

 The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, in partnership with Save the Children, announces the implementation of three small emergency projects in different areas of the Gaza Strip. The projects aim to reduce risks and provide a safe environment for children, and include installing railings and protective canopies in Deir al-Balah, repairing houses with Escorate roofing in the Al-Najjar area, and constructing soakaway pits in Al-Fukhari. The organisation therefore invites contractors registered with the official departments and classified by the Palestinian Contractors Union to take part in the tender under the following conditions:

• The contractor must be registered with the official departments.

• The tender includes supplying and installing the materials required for the locations specified by the supervising engineer.

• Prices are in dollars, and the supplier must provide a tax invoice and a withholding tax certificate.

• The contractor must provide an initial bid bond of 5% of the total tender value, valid for 90 days from the date the tenders are opened. No tender will be considered unless accompanied by the bond, and a bank guarantee of 10% must be provided to secure delivery once the tender is awarded.

• A copy of the tender documents can be obtained from Monday corresponding to 21/11/2016 during official working hours and until four in the afternoon, at the office of the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution.

• A preparatory meeting will be held on Wednesday 23/11/2016 at 11:00 at the Palestinian Center's office.

• The deadline for submitting tender documents is twelve noon on Sunday 27/11/2016 at the office of thePalestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution in Gaza, with the tender opening session held the same day at twelve noon at the Palestinian Center's office.

• The tender opening committee is not bound to accept the lowest prices.

• Advertising fees are borne by the successful bidder.

• The Centre reserves the right to split the tender.
