The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation established in
August 1998 through the efforts of a group of young Palestinians seeking to build a Palestinian model
that promotes the concepts of democracy and conflict-resolution alternatives.
In
line with the Centre's vision and values, the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution works to
promote the principles of democracy and human rights in general and those of vulnerable groups in particular, and
works to strengthen tolerance, social peace, justice, accountability and gender equality,
as well as to consolidate good governance, transparency and integrity. The Centre also contributes to bridging
the gap in the psychosocial and legal services that vulnerable and marginalised groups lack.

Purpose of the post:
The
Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution is seeking an Advocacy Campaigns
Consultant, within the project "A Step Towards Change"
in partnership with Norwegian People's Aid (NPA),
to help deliver PCDCR's mission, vision
and strategic objectives,
and to contribute to developing the vision of the project "A Step Towards Change". The Centre invites both
sexes and persons with disabilities to apply for this assignment
Duties and responsibilities:
- Managing lobbying and advocacy campaigns related to the rights of young people and women.
- The ability to communicate with all stakeholders involved in the campaign.
- Precisely defining the campaign objectives and its key messages for each target audience.
- Proposing concrete, realistic and creative activities, including preparatory activities.
- The ability to use different types of media (print and electronic).
- Creating a work plan with clear results, indicators and timelines, together with the tools needed to implement and evaluate the campaign.
- Identifying the resources required (human, financial and technical).
- Ensuring a focus on the community participation approach to guarantee outreach to marginalised communities.
- Networking and coordinating with relevant individuals and institutions to ensure the plan is implemented.
- Developing a communication plan in line with the partners' vision and the project documents, particularly the project's communication and visibility plan.
- Following up and supervising the implementation of the advocacy plan in cooperation with the project partners.
- Documenting activities and preparing monthly and periodic reports according to the campaign requirements.
Requirements and qualifications:
- The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree in one of the humanities.
- At least 4 years' experience in managing lobbying and advocacy campaigns.
- At least 4 years' experience in civil society work.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Proficiency in computer use and software.
- A flexible, diplomatic, innovative and proactive personality, able to solve work problems.
- Particular skills in communication and teamwork.
- The ability to work under pressure, with a spirit of voluntary work.
