The attorney general's judicial instructions concerning juvenile children

Today the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, in cooperation with Terre des hommes Switzerland (TDH), held a workshop entitled "The attorney general's judicial instructions concerning juvenile children, the mechanisms for implementing them and their legal force on the competent executive bodies". The meeting was opened by lawyer Younis Al-Tahrawi, head of the legal unit at the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, who welcomed the meeting's guests, Mr. Ali Khella, the attorney general's representative on the juvenile justice committee, Dr. Imad Harr, director of the legal unit at the Palestinian police, and Colonel Sameh Al-Sultan, deputy governor of the Gaza police, as well as those present from among the lawyers and the specialised human rights organisations. Lawyer Ahmed Al-Masri, coordinator of the juvenile justice project in the Gaza Strip, explained that the workshop comes as an affirmation of cooperative work between official bodies and civil society organisations in order to establish a better justice reality for juveniles and in line with what is needed. The workshop's guests stressed the need to hold courses for investigation inspectors, covering all the Gaza governorates, on the judicial instructions, and the need to publish and circulate them to all the stations.
