On Thursday 21/7/2016 the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution held its ordinary General Assembly meeting in Gaza, attended by the Registrar of Companies and 18 members from the Gaza Strip, Nablus and Hebron via Skype.
The session was opened by Ms. Dima Al-Shawa, representative of the Registrar of Companies, who welcomed those present and stated that the attendance in Nablus was three members in person and two by proxy, in Hebron two members in person, while in Gaza attendance was represented by ten members in person and one by proxy, bringingthe total representation to 18 members. Accordingly, Ms. Dima announced that the legal quorum for holding the company's ordinary General Assembly had been met.
The chair of the board, Mr. Ashraf Abu Nada, began by reviewing the items on the meeting's agenda, which centred on discussing and approving the annual administrative report for 2015, reading out and approving the financial report and the auditor's report, and discharging the chair and members of the company's board for 2015. The main activities, events, meetings and projects carried out by the Centre over the past year were then reviewed, pointing to a marked advance in the Centre's performance and in the concerns it takes up. The financial report was presented by the auditor, and those present unanimously ratified both the administrative and the financial report for 2015. The external auditor for 2016 was then appointed, and the 2016 budget was discussed and approved.
At the close of the meeting, the Registrar of Companies and those present expressed their satisfaction with the Centre's professional performance and its ability to reach all the target groups and the most needy in the community, which in turn has contributed greatly to constructive progress and advancement.
