The Centre organises a free medical day for children at one of the partner organisations

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution yesterday organised a free medical day in Al-Shati camp at one of the partner organisations, the Mother and Child Association, in cooperation with the Relief Agency's Al-Shati medical clinic, where a full examination was carried out for all the children taking part in the child protection teams project, estimated at 60 children, in addition to their families. A medical team specialising in heart disease and diabetes examined the children's parents and treated them by providing special medicines to all those affected by these illnesses among the children's families. The day also included health guidance on oral and dental health, medical examinations for pupils with hearing and sight problems, and the referral of some cases for follow-up treatment. The day also included the distribution of toothbrushes, toothpaste, glasses and hearing aids. The field coordinator, Manal Zein Al-Din, stated that this examination comes in the framework of our concern at the Centre with children's health, noting that this health care is a distinctive precedent, and also stressing the need to examine children regularly to make sure they are free of illnesses. The Centre's team and the children's families valued this initiative and the efforts of the doctors and the representatives of the Relief Agency and its medical institutions and their keenness to carry out the noble humanitarian duty towards the children and their families.
