The Centre signs the agreement of the child protection teams project with UNICEF
The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution signed a working agreement with the United Nations Children's Fund "UNICEF" for the child protection teams project 2011-2012, for a period of ten months beginning 1 May 2011 and until 29 February 2012, its activities to be carried out in all the governorates of the Gaza Strip. The project includes a set of activities such as providing group counselling to 2,400 children in 200 groups, where each group includes 12 children received over 15 sessions. Psychosocial and educational support activities will also be carried out for 3,000 children in partnership with 50 organisations in all the governorates of the Strip, in addition to carrying out 200 groups of meetings for the parents receiving support at the psychosocial support centres. Furthermore, individual counselling services will be provided through the family centres, the counselling points, the free telephone line and the Centre's branches. 20 festivals will also be held targeting 2,000 children, the equivalent of 600 emergency visits during the project period, and training for the working staff.
