A round-table meeting on national reconciliation

Nablus: within the events of the "Together for reconciliation" project, the third round table was held under the title "The reconciliation file", attended by many academic and media figures and mukhtars, in addition to women's leaders, lawyers and rights advocates, on Sunday 22/5/2011. Those present addressed the national reconciliation file, including the file of political detainees, the file of closed associations and the file of dismissed employees. The participants agreed on the need to form committees to follow up these cases given their sensitivity and their importance to the Palestinian people, and they also agreed on forming an independent court of judges to open the way for receiving citizens' complaints, so that the judiciary may have its say on all these complaints, which were among the outcomes and consequences of the period of division.
