The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution delivered a training course entitled "Advanced Skills in Social Accountability" for the coordination committee within the project "A Step Towards Change".
The training covered a range of advanced and specialised skills over five training days of five hours each. The committee was trained in public speaking skills with trainer Mr. Mohammed Al-Natour, digital advocacy with trainer Mr. Sultan Nasser, advanced debating skills with Dr. Talal Abu Rukba, and social audit report writing skills with Mr. Moumen Abu Al-Nada.
This project is implemented in partnership with the Norwegian People's Aid office, and works to contribute to empowering marginalised groups, including women, young people and persons with disabilities, in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip by promoting political and social participation and gender equality, and building their capacity to claim their rights, including the right to freedom of opinion and expression and the right to freedom of association and peaceful assembly.
The project also works to form and strengthen the role of youth councils in municipalities.
