Conflict Resolution signs an agreement with Terre des hommes Switzerland

Gaza, Publication and Information Unit:
The deputy director of the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, Gaza branch, Mr. Iyad Abu Hjair, signed an agreement to carry out the project on legal policy for protecting juveniles with the director of Terre des hommes Switzerland, Jeremy Brun, in the presence of Dr. Khitam Abu Hamad, director of the Terre des hommes office in Gaza, and lawyer Ahmed Al-Masri, the project coordinator at the Conflict Resolution Center.

Al-Masri said the project targets juvenile children, and that a full study of juvenile justice will be carried out in agreement with the Al-Rabee institution for social care, and comprehensive training will be delivered to probation officers during the project period, in addition to holding training workshops for representatives of the judicial bodies and reconciliation figures on how they can cooperate with probation officers.

For his part, Iyad Abu Hjair thanked the director of Terre des hommes, valuing highly the efforts of Terre des hommes Switzerland in the service of the most important group in Palestinian society, namely children.
