Call to join a youth team for social accountability

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution works to promote the principles of democracy and human rights in general and those of vulnerable groups in particular, and to strengthen tolerance, social peace, justice, accountability and gender equality, as well as to consolidate good governance, transparency and integrity. The Centre also contributes to bridging the gap in the psychosocial and legal services that vulnerable and marginalised groups lack.
The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution is about to implement the Youth Accountability Teams project, which aims to strengthen young people's practical capacities to track the reality of the services provided by the Ministry of Health, to enrich their democratic experience and to involve them in evaluating the government's performance and holding it to account using a variety of social accountability tools. This would improve public accountability and oversight of government performance in order to improve the services provided to citizens. The project includes an intensive advanced training programme on the concepts of accountability and democracy.
The project seeks to form a youth social accountability team across the governorates, made up of three groups: in Gaza, Nablus and Hebron.
Required conditions:
Participants must be between 20 and 30 years old.
Participants must have a spirit of initiative and voluntary work.
The ability to commit fully throughout the project's activities.
Playing an active community role and seeking to promote a culture of social peace and the language of dialogue.
Participants must have community mobilisation and communication skills.
They must have the capacity and the need to develop training and working competencies after the course ends, within the project's activities.
Participants must have qualifications or experience in voluntary and community work.

Registration runs from 5/6/2017 to 15/6/2017.
Candidates who meet the required conditions will be contacted based on their answers in the application form, after which interviews will be held to select 25 participants.
