Children and their imprisoned relatives at an open day

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution organised an open day for children and their imprisoned relatives inside Asdaa prison in the city of Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip, as a continuation of the events of the child protection unit project 2014

 The open day included many recreational and cultural items and activities, competitions, talent displays, puppet shows, folklore and clowns. The engagement and participation of the children and their families was clear and full of activity, fun and delight. This comes within a series of recreational activities that aim to ease the psychological effect that weighed on children during the last war, with this open day seeking to provide emotional release, to treat the repression felt by the children and their relatives, and to bring joy to the faces of the children and the inmates.
