The project "Towards a society free of violence" holds workshops for women subjected to violence in Nablus governorate

The project "Towards a society free of violence against women" at the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution has continued to hold a series of workshops for women subjected to violence in Nablus governorate.

In this framework, the social worker at the Conflict Resolution Center, Wurud Yassin, said: "Through holding these workshops we aim to work on raising the legal, social and psychological awareness of women subjected to violence in the governorate and to work on providing them with a safe environment." She stressed that a group of experienced women trainers deal with the women easily and smoothly in order to encourage them and activate their role in society, as well as giving them the capacity to deal with their children.

The specialist Yassin reviewed the main places where the project team is active in Nablus governorate, among them the areas of Iraq Burin, Azmut, Al-Fara'a camp and Asira al-Qibliya, and the determination to continue holding the workshops in the coming months within the strategic plan. She pointed out that the number of participants ranges from 15 to 30 women in the governorate, in addition to carrying out a number of motivating and activating activities for them to ensure their reintegration into society.

It is noted that the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, for the fourth year running and in cooperation with the Norwegian People's Aid programme (NPA), carries out the project "Towards a society free of violence against women" in the governorates of the Gaza Strip and a number of West Bank governorates.
